Happy Independence Day

Hi

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July! We enjoyed attending our annual church picnic held at the home of one of our families. It was lots of fun, despite the 3o minute downpour that cooled everthing off in the afternoon.

A new baby!

Just in case I had left anyone out of the email announcement, I want to use this post to announce the coming of another Lahr into our household. The new baby is due March 3, 2007, Lord willing. Praise the Lord!! We are excited.

It surely is different, though, being pregnant and already having a child in the house. I can't just go take a nap whenever I want. I'm also having trouble getting normal housework accomplished, between Joanna's wanting attention and my fatigue.

Other women have accomplished these things before me, so I know I can do it too! Thanks in advance for all your prayers!!

Rain, Rain, Go away!

We appreciate a good shower or two to help our garden grow, but this is getting ridiculous!! We've had heavy rains here for the last 4 days straight, and more is forecasted through Wednesday. Our poor rows of corn have all fallen over flat! The dirt just got too soft to hold them up. Our cucumbers have begun to get a little fruit, but the ground is so wet that they are rotting before they can even get large enough to pick.

Well, The Lord knows what we have need of! We'll trust Him and be thankful anyways!
